The project “Traceable mechanical and electrical power measurement for efficiency determination of wind turbines” (EMPIR 19ENG08 WindEFCY) is working on developing a standardised, practical and reliable efficiency determination procedure for nacelles on large-scale test benches. This procedure is based on traceable mechanical and electrical power measurement realised through calibration. By providing a standardised method and a calibration service for the key measurands in nacelle test benches the efficiency of wind turbine drive trains will be made comparable and repeatable, the development cycles will be quickened and the time to market will be shortened.This is the publishable summary of the EMPIR project 19ENG08 WindEFCY at month 1.
